*Event update: due to the poor weather forecast for the day The Big Picnic activities will be located in the cosy "old gift shop" on the ground floor of Mill 3. We’ll still have the face painting, balloon modelling, storytelling and seats for people to have picnics at, the Birds of Prey will also either be outside the old gift shop or in Robert Owen's Garden. No matter what the weather does, make sure you take advantage of our special Kids Go Free* offer at the Visitors Centre on the day! *Under 12 years*
Our Summer of Fun is here and what better way to celebrate than with a Big Picnic! Join us in the beautiful gardens of New Lanark for lots of family entertainment and a perfect opportunity to explore our new Clearburn Natural Play and Picnic Area. Follow Ted and solve the clues to find your way to the Teddy Bear’s Picnic, sing along with some lively storytelling, go on a mini-beast hunt with Scottish Wildlife Trust or just have fun in the sun! Bring your own picnic or treat yourself to a Damn Delicious burger or New Lanark Ice Cream!
Free entry to the picnic plus children go free to the New Lanark Visitor Centre. (Under 12 years)
Don't worry if the weather is wet, the big picnic activities will still take place in the "old gift shop" at New Lanark. (Ground floor of Mill 2)
